Based on our second I would absolutely recommend it for a pre or post theatre visit.but I'm not sure beyond that. So.based on our first visit I would travel from anywhere in the NYC area to dine and/or drink at Samba. But the bigger issue was that the service just wasn't as good the second time around and so the evening didn't feel quite so 'special'. The second visit we added some vegetarians to the mix and so ordered the Palm Strogonoff which was very tasty and the veggie feijoada which was not. The history of Russian Samovar starts well before the restaurant itself. Our first visit was perfect with a feast of pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese puffs), palm salad, steak, feijoada, potato and yucca fries, collard greens, and an assortment of desserts. It is a fairly small space it used to be a French-Thai restaurant it was hot out and they brought me a tall glass of. ![]() I recently dined here twice as host of groups of family and friends headed to the theatre.
